  • Weekend of events to focus on health and activity taster sessions

    THERE is to be a weekend of health conscious events and service taster sessions on Friday, April 7 in Maghull in celebration of World Health Day.

    Maghull Town Council has partnered with local organisations to provide the activities.

    Meadows Leisure centre will be discussing membership options while a full programme of events will be taking place on Friday and Saturday at the Maghull Town Hall.

    Living Well Sefton, Mindfullness Merseyside and Healthwatch Sefton will be some of the organisations taking part, informing residents of the services available in the community and how people can be supported with their health in Maghull.

    Maghull Town Council has joined forces with other businesses in the area to expand their celebrations and diversify the programme to include a wide range of health and wellbeing services.

    Maghull Eye Centre in the Square will be offering a free 2D eye scan with every eye check-up over April 7, 8 and 9.

    Maghull Health Studios in Sefton Meadows Industrial Estate will be celebrating health and wellbeing with a range of activities for all the community.

    A spokesman for the event said: “Come along to discover all the fantastic exercise, wellbeing and children’s classes available, as well as getting a free health check-up including weight, body measurements and blood pressure checks.”

    They will be giving advice on how to get healthier and improve your wellbeing.

    Rawfully Good 4 U will also be there discussing the benefits of a raw food diet and how to eat healthy.
