  • Chance to nominate health professionals for positive practice in mental health

    MEMBERS of the public are being given the chance to nominate health professionals who they believe deserve recognition for their positive practice in mental health, for an annual awards scheme.

    Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust is hosting the prestigious Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards at The Imperial Hotel in Blackpool on Thursday, October 12.

    The awards are organised by the Positive Practice in Mental Health Collaborative, a user-led, multi-agency collaborative of 75 organisations, including NHS trusts, clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), police forces, third sector providers, front-line charities and service user groups.

    They celebrate the hard work across of people in mental health or learning disability services.

    James Harper, allied health professional lead at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are so excited to be hosting this year’s Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards and working alongside the Mental Health Collaborative.

    “We are really looking forward to the event being held in Lancashire as there are so many great examples of positive practice taking place across the county and it is important for people to be given an opportunity to recognise this.

    “We hope that our staff and the public can spare some of their time to submit a nomination for someone out there that is truly making a difference.”
