  • Medical centre staff and patients bid fond farewell to long-serving receptionist

    Henry James

COLLEAGUES past and present were joined by patients to wish a fond farewell to a long-serving staff member at the Ashurst Health Centre.

Senior reception Ginette Brunt has retired after 27 years at the centre in Lulworth, Skelmersdale.

Practice manager at Ashurst Primary Care, Chris Forrest, said; “Ginette was a well-liked member of the team and good at putting patients at ease. She was always punctual and reliable and will be sadly missed.

“Whenever she was asked to do something she would do it with no fuss.”

Colleagues presented Ginette with a watch, a necklace, and vouchers for her retirement.

Patients at the surgery also brought in flowers and gifts.

Following her retirement, Ginette is planning to spend more time gardening.
