  • Police plea for information after town-centre assault

    Kenny Parker

POLICE have issued images of three men they want to speak to in connection with a serious assault in Ormskirk town centre.

The incident took place at around 2.25am on Sunday, March 4 in Moor Street, close to the Clock Tower, when a man was the subject of a vicious attack by three assailants.

The victim, a 27-year-old from Liverpool, had earlier been in the Alpine bar on Railway Road where he had a verbal altercation with three men.

After leaving the bar he was followed by the men before being attacked and suffering a fractured cheek bone and fractured eye socket which required surgery at hospital.

As a result of CCTV enquiries, police want to identify the three men pictured in these images (right) in connection with the offence and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

PC Pete Chesters, of Skelmersdale Police, said: “We want to identify these three men in connection with a serious assault in Ormskirk.

“Despite conducting a number of enquiries we have yet to locate these individuals and would urge anyone with information to contact us.

“The victim has been left with serious facial injuries. I believe someone must know who these men are and can assist with our investigation.”

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org .
