  • Staff raise £12,000 for annual pets adoption appeal

    Henry James

STAFF and customers at the Pets At Home store in Aintree raised £12,478 for the Support Adoption For Pets annual ‘Santa Paws’ appeal, with the funds used to buy meals for animals at a rescue centre in Sefton.

Enough money was raised to provide more than 24,600 dinners for the Carla Lane Animals in Need centre on Spurriers Lane, Melling.

In the four weeks leading up to Christmas, customers shopping in Pets At Home were given the opportunity to donate 50p to help provide a dinner for pets spending Christmas in a rescue centre, along with more than 440 Pets At Home stores across the UK.

This year, the annual ‘Santa Paws’ fundraising appeal was launched on Black Friday and ran until Christmas Eve.

Support Adoption For Pets is a charity established by Pets at Home in 2006.
