Young singing group join Royal Wedding choir for memorable performance
TALENTED young singers from Formby joined Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding choir for an 'incredible performance' on stage in Liverpool.
The Kingdom Choir became a household name following their stunning performance of Stand By Me at the royal wedding last year.
The choir launched a national search for children’s and youth choirs to perform alongside them at each venue of their début 18-venue UK tour.
Formby children’s choir Make Noise 2, based at the Gild Hall, joined the gospel stars at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall on Tuesday, May 21.
Make Noise 2 Choir director Catherine Last said: “We were so proud to perform at this amazing event with the very talented Kingdowm Choir.
“The children gave an incredible performance.”
Karen Gibson, conductor of The Kingdom Choir added: “It was tough to choose the choirs, but so lovely to see so many singing communities out there.
“From personal experience, I know what singing can do for a person, so sharing that with young people across the country is a really special thing for us.“
