  • Community groups promote World Mental Health Day

    SKELMERSDALE Pulse, an organisation set up and run by volunteers, and Community Restart ran a range of activities at the Concourse on Tuesday, October 10 to promote and highlight mental health.

    Skelmersdale Pulse work with different agencies to help, advise and support members of the community.

    They run a variety of workshops and activities, which are open to all members of the public.

    Problems with mental health can affect one in four adults.

    A spokesperson for Pulse said: “Mental illness is not contagious. You can’t catch it by being kind.”

    Highlights of the activities on October 10 included a craft group, relaxation with Mindsmatter, Tai Chi and a quiz
