Dancer 'absolutely loved' performing X-rated show in Southport!

by Danielle Thompson (November 2018)

A STRIPPER was 'delighted' to return to Southport to perform the eye-opening show for the third time!

Jordan Darrell, a former dancer for Rita Ora, who choreographs and stars in the show, spoke to Champion reporter Danielle Thompson after the dates were released for the show's 140-date UK tour. They performed recently at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre at 7.30pm, wowing the audience with high energy dance routines, challenging choreography and many male celebrities as special guests over the years including TOWIE’s Dan Osborne and Geordie Shore’s Gaz Beadle – this year, the strippers were joined by Dancing on Ice winner Jake Quickenden.

Jordan said: “I absolutely love Southport, people might be surprised to know that we often travel down the day before a show and spend a bit of time where we will be staying, shopping and having a look around. I love the Marine Lake – I often go down and have a picnic at the edge of the lake before the show! What could be more relaxing before a high-intensity routine!

“I choreograph the show so it takes around two months to bring together all the ideas, music and routines for the show then another month for the cast to have memorised it all perfectly – so you are looking at around three months altogether to be ready.

“I think up new ideas all year, the creative side is very flexible! I do one minute per song, and we throw out upto 50 types of choreography on each one!

“I love creating it and performing it. I love the freedom that comes from the creative process then the enjoyment form performing it – and of course, there is a lot of humour in it, it's not all just the sexy pieces!

“My favourite part of it visually is at the end of the first half, it's a Baywatch-themed silhouette scene and it is absolutely hilarious. My favourite part perfomance-wise is the Beyonce/Rihanna piece at the end of the second half – you'll have to come and watch the show to see why!”

You can still catch the tour, with tickets available to see the show on Saturday, December 8 at the

Globe Theatre in Blackpool or at the Liverpool Empire on Thursday, February 21.
