VISITORS to Liverpool can enjoy ‘incredible views’ of Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 when it returns to the city for the first time in four years, next week.
Mersey Ferries are running River Explorer Cruises from 10am-4pm on Tuesday (July 16) to celebrate the return of Cunard’s flagship vessel, the largest ocean liner ever built. The liner is the only vessel in service between Southampton and New York, a route particularly iconic to Liverpool.
A spokesperson for Mersey Ferries said: “We will be running the 50 minute River Explorer Cruises, with passengers able to see unrivalled, incredible views of the vessel from the River Mersey while it is docked at the Liverpool Cruiseliner Terminal. There will also be a Blue Badge Guide on the 1pm-4pm sailings, providing live commentary about the ship, the history of Liverpool and the River Mersey. The Cruise departs from Pier Head, Liverpool on the hour, every hour; from Secombe, Wirral at twenty past the hour, every hour and from Woodside, Wirral at half past the hour, every hour.”
