BURSCOUGH dance school Base-Dance Performing Arts Academy have just got back from performing a spectacular show on the Videopolis stage at Disneyland Paris and can’t wait to go back again.

The tribal themed performance featured striking costumes, a variety of dance styles and carefully choreographed routines that allowed 20 students from age 6 to 15 to shine on stage.

The show was watched by parents and family members who then enjoyed several days with their children in the park after the show.

Dance school director Claire Lloyd said after last Wednesday October 23rd show: “It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to dance on an international stage.

“Take us back to Disneyland, what a fantastic performance and well done to all our Disneyland Paris team. It was a privilege to spend so much time preparing for the performance and three days dancing and having fun with this fantastic group of students and their families.

“The quality of the performance, the professionalism of the production and the showcase of exceptional talent was simply amazing. The level of energy, excitement, teamwork and enjoyment - truly inspirational. I have no idea how it was possible to have so many students, with a wide age range, working so marvellously together. We did it! and they smashed it!

“They worked really hard and put in so much time into rehearsals. I know that none of this could happen without the skills, time and commitment of the performance troupe and a whole team of helpers.

“I also know that every single student involved in this fantastic performance had an experience that they will never forget. Nor will those in the audience who loved every minute of it! It was very, very special.”

Base-Dance would like to say a special thank you to the stunning students, parents, carers and families which made this event happen.

New projects on the horizon include the opportunity to perform on stage at Liverpool Empire, various national and international competitions and of course going back to Disneyland Paris’ again in 2021!.

Base-Dance Performing Arts Academy is based in Burscough and has been inspiring and training dancers since 2008. The Academy offers a wide variety of dance classes from Ballet, Tap and Jazz to Lyrical, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Break Dance and Musical Theatre to suit aspiring dancers of every age, experience level and interest.
