by Henry James (February 2020)

POLICE are seeking to trace a car driver who left the scene of an accident without providing their details after a collision which left a 66-year-old pedestrian with serious injuries.

The incident took place at about 1.30pm on Saturday, February 8 in the Hall Green car park, Up Holland and the female victim was taken to hospital.

The vehicle involved is described as a possibly a green-coloured car. And it is believed that a male witness who stopped at the scene remarked that he had seen the vehicle’s registration.

However, to date no report has been received from either the driver or the potential witness.

PC Damian Whittle of Lancashire’s Tactical Operations Division, said: “A woman has suffered serious injuries and our thoughts are with her at this time.

“We need the driver of the vehicle involved to get in touch so we can establish exactly what happened.

“Likewise, if you are the witness mentioned or have any information that could help, we need to hear from you.”

Anyone with information is asked to email 1781@lancashire.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting log number 1730 of 8th February.
