WEST Lancs MP has written to the Health Secretary to ask for urgent support – after Queenscourt Hospice revealed that they do not have enough protective equipment during the coronavirus pandemic.
She was informed by the Kew hospice, a charity that provides support for the people of Southport, Formby and West Lancs with serious illnesses, enabling them to achieve the best possible quality of life at each new stage, that they are in desperate need of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Rosie Cooper MP has written to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care and NHS England to ask for urgent support.?
She said: “It is terrifying that vital health services and hospices like Queenscourt Hospice still do not have all the PPE they need.?It is clear that care homes and Hospices are still being overlooked in the distribution of PPE.?
“I have written to Health Secretary Matt Hancock and NHS Chief Executive Sir Simon Stevens to ask that they take immediate action to ensure that this hospice and all others are provided the equipment they need.”
