RESIDENTS at a care home in Maghull were treated to an ‘isolation party’ today!
Staff and residents at Damfield Gardens gathered in the garden for a sing-along and dance with refreshments, whilst a few residents watched on from their windows and hallway windows in isolation, on April 21.
A spokesperson for the home told the Champion: “We would like to give a massive thanks and shoutout to Bill from Happy Days Entertainment for entertaining our lovely residents in brilliant fashion as always.
“He normally comes into entertain our residents and is kindly volunteering to go into various care homes, including our other home Collier’s Croft in Haydock where he is going for another ‘Isolation Party’ tomorrow (April 22).
“With the social care sector finally starting to get the recognition it deserves in the media, now more than ever we felt it would be and it was an uplifting and cheery occasion undoubtedly significantly brightening the mood in these difficult times.”
