Youngster braves rain to cycle 21.5km for charity

by Danielle Thompson (June 2020)

A KIND-hearted eight year old rode his bike from his house in Formby to Crosby Leisure Centre – and back again - to raise almost £500 for a national homeless charity.

Louis Winn, from Formby, took on the 20km trek with his mum for Shelter despite the rain on Friday, June 19.

Louis said: “It’s a very long way for an eight year old! My mum said it’s a long way for a 42 year old too – she came with me!

“I wanted to do this challenge because I want to help homeless people and I want to raise lots of money. Please sponsor me so I can help Shelter. Thank you for reading, have a nice day.”
