NHS Improvement (NHSI) has confirmed the appointment of Graham Pollard as a non-executive director of Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust.
Graham, who lives in Ormskirk, is Director of Operations for the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at the University of Liverpool. As part of the leadership team, Graham provides oversight to the delivery of a broad range of research and teaching, including medicine, dentistry, nursing and the allied health professions.
He was previously a governor at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and, in 2011, was involved in the conception of Liverpool Health Partners, a partnership between Liverpool’s universities and NHS trusts. Prior to joining the University of Liverpool, Graham gained experience working both in the private sector and for local government.
Non-executive appointments to NHS trusts made by the NHS Improvement are subject to the Governance Code for Public Appointments.
Graham has been appointed from March 1, 2020 until February 28, 2023. He has not declared any political activity in the last five years. He is entitled to receive remuneration of £10,000 per annum.
