TWO people were stabbed in Skelmersdale during a shocking attack in broad daylight.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 8 in Thurston when a 16-year-old girl and 18-year-old man were targeted.

They both needed hospital treatment after the man suffered stab wounds to his abdomen and the girl was stabbed in the leg.

A 17-year old boy was arrested the following day (July 9) on suspicion of attempted murder.

Lancashire Police say the victims and the alleged attacker are thought to be known to one another.
