A HOUSEKEEPER who ‘does a bit of everything’ has been given an award in honour of three decades of service at a Burscough care home.
There were celebrations at Stocks Hall Care Home last week when Karen Webster received her ‘30 Year Service Award’ on the 30th anniversary of the home opening – and Karen was their first ever member of staff!
Home Manager, Sammi Molyneux said: “Although Karen's job title is housekeeper, she does a little bit of everything and will help where she can, with her wealth of experience and knowledge.
“Karen is also the raffle and bingo extraordinaire, organising and fundraising for the ladies and gentlemen at the home, twice a year with the very successful Easter and Christmas Bingo events, providing more opportunities for exciting trips and experiences.
“Her constancy and familiar face truly brings together the family feel of the home, which they pride themselves on and Karen is at the heart of it all. Karen is looking forward to continuing her duties. On behalf of the entire team and all of the home, we are very pleased to hear it.
“The staff do me proud every day providing an excellent homely quality of life for the people living at Stocks Hall Burscough. Thank you Karen for your dedication over the last thirty years, it is very much appreciated.”
