CONSTRUCTION work on 267 new houses in Burscough will get underway this summer.

Anwyl Homes is behind the huge development at Yew Tree Park, which will include a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes, including some bungalows.

The plot will be called Priory Gardens and the first homes will be released for sale later this year, with the first residents moving in mid-2021.

Every home will include an electric vehicle charging point and the site will feature several landscaped swales, ponds and wetland areas together with a new park and landscaped public open space.

John Grime, managing director of Chorley-based Anwyl Homes Lancashire, said: “Having acquired circa 20 acres at Yew Tree Park from Crompton Property Developments Limited earlier this year, we’re pleased that West Lancashire Council has now given reserved matters approval for our homes and we are looking forward to getting on site.”
