THERE is still time for West Lancashire firms to apply for the Small Business or Retail, Leisure & Hospitality grant funds.
If your business was in receipt of Small Business Rates Relief or is classed as a Retail, Leisure or Hospitality business, prior to March 11, 2020 then West Lancs Borough Council chiefs are urging you to check your eligibility and apply for a grant.
They are currently in the final stages of completing the programme and they are welcoming applications up until midnight on Friday, August 28.
Please note if you have already received a grant from them you cannot re-apply.
So far they have supported nearly 1,900 West Lancashire businesses with a total of more than £21 million in grants.
These grants have been vital to the local economy – helping ensure the survival of shops, cafes, hotels, restaurants and many other companies.
Councillor Adam Yates, portfolio holder for Resources and Transformation, said: “We are really pleased we have been able to support the local economy by helping so many local businesses through the pandemic. As there is still some funding available, please visit the Council's website to check if your business is eligible.”
To check eligibility and to apply please visit www.westlancs.gov.uk/businessgrants. Businesses who make successful applications will receive their grant within ten working days of contacting them.
