A YOUNGSTER ran from his house in Aughton all the way to his nan’s in Lydiate to raise more than £1,800 for charity.
Seb Currie, who is only six years old, completed a four mile run on Saturday, August 22 in an impressive time of 46 minutes to raise funds for Edukid.
The charity helps children living in poverty and conflict have an education and Seb, who attends Aughton Christ Church School, chose the cause himself.
His proud mum, Kate, said: “I ran with Seb and he achieved a very impressive time. 46 minutes for 6k, aged six, is not bad at all!
“He didn't complain he was tired once. His aunties, uncles, cousins and nanny all came to ours to wave us off and school friends came out from their house along the way to cheer him on, and then when we made it to Lydiate to his grandma’s house there were more family there cheering, complete with a ribbon to run through.”
“Seb has now got to over £1,800 and we can't believe it!”
