Couple run ‘four marathons’ to raise funds for Rainbow Hub

by Danielle Thompson (September 2020)

A FORMBY couple have raised more than £1,700 for Rainbow Hub, a charity supporting children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities in Mawdesley.

Bank clerk Claire Lippett, 48 and her husband Craig, 49, a police officer, have run the equivalent of four marathons by completing 26 miles each week - mostly on Formby beach.

They have raised £1,200 already, with Claire’s employer set to boost this by a further £500.

Claire said: “Rainbow Hub do an amazing job. They really do change the lives of the children and their families. We just want to thank everyone who has supported us.”
