A LOVING wife from Parbold wasn't going to let her husband’s self-isolation stop them from celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
Vivian Grunwell, 87, paid a special visit to husband Peter, 83, who for his own safety is staying indoors at Stocks Hall Mawdesley Care Home during the pandemic.
The special window visit enabled the couple to raise a glass and toast their Diamond wedding anniversary.
Vivian said: “It meant everything to me that we got to spend our 60th anniversary together. It’s very difficult not being able to see Peter in person, however the nurses and care staff here at Stocks Hall Mawdesley did everything they could to make this visit possible. It was lovely to toast our celebration with a glass of champagne.”
Kristy Lunt, home manager added: “We wanted to do all we could to make sure the couple could celebrate their impressive Diamond Wedding Anniversary milestone together. Congratulations from all of us, to a very special couple.”
