A family tribute reads: “The family would like to thank everyone for their support, thoughts, gestures of goodwill and prayers during this incredibility difficult time.
“Our family truly appreciates the visits, food, flowers, donations, cards, and kind words. The communities of Maghull and Aintree Village where Susan grew up have been so supportive.
“Thank you to everyone, from the bottom of our hearts.
“We have found these acts both overwhelming and truly comforting during this incredibility sad time. Sue was a special mum, wife, sister, sister in law, daughter, aunt, niece, relative and friend to so many people.
“Thank you so much to all the neighbours in Moorhey Road and Moorland Road, friends and all who have gone out of their way to show how much they loved and appreciated Sue and our loss.
“Sue was such a lovely person and was seemingly loved by everybody she met.
“She was a loving mum to Marcus and Lewis. We are so grateful for the support of the local community and beyond. We will all miss her so much.”
“We have been asked about donations in memory of Sue, these can now be made direct to Woodlands Hospice at: www.woodlandshospicecharitabletrust.enthuse.com/swoods”
