FORMER Art Attack presenter Neil Buchanan, who is from Aintree, has been forced to deny rumours he is anonymous street artist Banksy!
The 58-year-old had to put a statement on his website following social media rumours that he is the famous street artist, whose identity remains unknown.
A statement on his website reads: “Neil Buchanan is NOT Banksy. Please note: We have been inundated with enquiries over the weekend regarding the current social media story.
“Unfortunately this website does not have the infrastructure to answer all these enquiries individually, however we can confirm that there is no truth in the rumour whatsoever.”
The former Barlows Primary School pupil is best known for presenting hit show Art Attack, which ran for 17 years with 500 episodes on CITV before it moved to another channel.
Now retired from the show, Neil has become an artist and recently launched his first collection of what he calls ‘grown-up art.’
