THE newly-appointed mission president gave a speech at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Southport last week.
President Peter Johnson was a guest speaker, with his wife Stephanie during the Sunday, September 20 meeting at the Preston New Road venue.
The couple, who are just out of self isolation after arriving from America, say that they really enjoyed their first visit to the ‘exquisite’ town.
Peter Johnson said: “We are loving England and your seaside town of Southport is exquisite. It’s especially exciting for us to be here in this area as it’s where our great missionaries of the past preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ over 180 years ago.”
Stephanie Johnson poke in the meeting about how having ‘our hearts committed to a goal or project makes it so much more enjoyable to achieve, not that the task itself has become easier but our attitude is more positive.’
