THE Chair and Chief Executive of Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have praised staff for their “incredible work” during the organisation’s first year.

The Trust was created on October 1 2019 by the merger of the trusts running Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, the Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

The new organisation is one of the largest NHS university teaching trusts in the country and one of Merseyside’s biggest employers with a workforce of more than 15,000.

Sue Musson, chair, and Steve Warburton, chief executive, cut a symbolic anniversary cake as they used their anniversary message to thank staff for their work during the last 12 months.
