AINTREE Village Community Library which is based in Aintree Community Centre, Oriel Drive , has now reopened on Tuesdays from 10.30am till 12.30pm, and Thursdays from 2pm till 4pm.

Restrictions will be in place where only one person will be allowed in the library room at a time unless there is more than one person from the same family, they will then be allowed in together.

A spokesperson for Aintree Village Community Library said: “We ask people to be patient as we can only allow a maximum of six people in the main hall at a time. We also ask people to wear a face covering, but we will have some available if you forget.”

Membership is £1 and covers the cost of a laminated membership card. There are no further payments or fines.

Members can take up to six books at a time and returned when finished with. They also have a large selection of jigsaws that can be borrowed.

The spokesperson added: “We normally offer a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits (no charge) and a chat, but in the present circumstances we have had to suspend that service.
