Water problems for south Sefton residents

Water problems for south Sefton residents

by Tom Martin (October 2020)

HOMES in south Sefton had water problems last week after a burst water main in Melling.

Many residents reported discoloured tap water and poor water pressure on Tuesday, October 27 after the burst water main at the Leeds and Liverpool Canal near Satinwood Crescent.

United Utilities sent a repair team to fix the problem and water tankers at key locations in the area were connected to the water network to keep supplies flowing to taps.

The water returned to normal later that day.
