A CHAMPION reader has got in touch after being impressed by a crocheted ‘poppy power masterpiece’ in the run-up to Remembrance Day (November 11).
Helen Hart said: “It is located on the postbox next to the Weld Blundell pub in Lydiate. We have seen throughout the summer months beautiful crocheted birds and animals appearing in trees and posts which have been amazing to see on our local walks. However, this latest addition is a beauty and so fitting for the coming poppy anniversary.
“Well done to whoever is doing this work, you are very skilled and committed to such detailed pieces, they bring a smile to us all and have everyone asking who it is? I would love to know!”
