LADIES are being urged to support a bra bank appeal to raise funds for a breast cancer charity.

The team at ladies-only Gymophobics on Bispham Road are still collecting unwanted or unloved bras at the gym with more than 550 bras collected so far.

This initiative is for the charity Against Breast Cancer which seeks to find a vaccine against breast cancer.  Not only does the charity receive £700 for each tonne of bras collected, the bras are recycled and used to support small business in Africa and are given a new lease of life in countries such as Togo, Ghana and Kenya.

There is no need to make an appointment to drop off your bra, but if you would like to be shown round the gym then ring ahead so that they can make an appointment for you on 01704 505072.
