A CYCLIST has spoken of her shock and anger after her ‘treasured’ £1,200 mountain bike was stolen from outside Ormksirk Hospital.
Avid biker Margaret Biggs, has launched an appeal to trace her bright orange Trek mountain bike after it was stolen from outside the hospital while she was attending an appointment on Friday, October 23.
The 70 year old, who is an amputee, had cycled from her home in Churchtown to the hospital.
She was ‘appalled, shocked and furious’ to discover after her appointment which only took 30 minutes, that thieves had cut through her lock and stolen the bike.
She said: “I was away only half an hour. Please keep a look out for it.
“It’s bright orange so easily seen. I was furious as I had to get a taxi home then too!
“The bike is only two years old, it’s a treasured beauty.
“It’s hard tail small size aluminium frame with front shocks, has double front chain ring, hub disk brakes, ladies’ gel saddle, short mudguards, safety lights, silver double sided cleat pedals, rear bag rack, front bag holder, mobile phone holder.”
