MEMBERS of the Sixth Formby Methodist Brownies have taken their carol singing online!
For the past six years, the group have been carol singing around Formby before Christmas, including singing at the Lights Switch on for two years running, outside Waitrose, at Tesco, outside M&S and at various care homes.
Brown Owl Laura Stewart said: “We didn't want the coronavirus to stop us spread Christmas cheer this year, so the girls and leaders have worked extremely hard to create a virtual carol singing video with the Brownies recording themselves singing nine different Christmas songs! As we have been meeting on Zoom since March - with the exception of a few outdoor meetings on the beach in August and September - we felt it was a very fitting way to end the year.
“We are raising money for our unit, to do something special for the girls once we can meet normally again, and for the Young Minds children's mental health charity, which the girls chose to support. “Anyone who would like to donate can do so on our JustGiving page.”
