WEST Lancashire residents who need to isolate due to Covid and miss work as a result are being reminded to use the NHS 111 online Isolation Note Service.
The Isolation Note Service was launched to provide employees with evidence to cover a period of absence due to coronavirus. This may be because the employee must self-isolate because they have symptoms or share a household with someone who is symptomatic and self-isolating. The Isolation Note can then be used as evidence for absence from work, to avoid patients visiting their GP practice unnecessarily.
MP Rosie Cooper wants more support for people who don’t have internet access.
She said: “Sadly, the system doesn’t currently provide for those without internet access.
“I have been assured however that those people can ask family, friends or a trusted third party to obtain the isolation note on their behalf.”
