Woodlands looking for a home for two cats

Woodlands looking for a home for two cats

by Henry James (December 2020)

WOODLANDS Animal Sanctuary in Holmeswood is looking to find a home for two cats.

They are called Noodle and Peanut and are black and black and white.

Noodle, who is now seven years old and has been in the same home since she was a kitten, has now found herself in a rescue shelter situation because the only family she has ever known welcomed a new addition, which they did not feel she would deal with.

Noodle, could be likened to someone who suffers with anxiety, which can lead to unpredictable and volatile behaviours and it is for this reason that the team at Woodlands are looking for an experienced, adult only home for her, that has no visiting children and no other animals.

Noodle does receive medical assistance for her mood swings and as such Woodlands will provide extra support to the family who accept her and will continue to pay for her medication that relates to her behavioural issues.

Peanut, is an all-black adolescent cat (six months old), who has reached puberty without the support and leadership of a loving family.  He hasn’t had the security of clear boundaries which has led some of his behaviour to be described as undesired.  Peanut is looking to find a home that can show him clear, fair boundaries, so that he can learn to enjoy receiving love and affection in a way that people also like. If you think you could be the stable home that these two cats are looking for then contact the sanctuary on 01704 823293 or visit their website: https://www.woodlandsanimalsanctuary.org.uk/rehoming/cats/

A spokesperson for Woodlands said: “Please be aware that Woodlands are very aware of how careful they need to be with these two cats and as such will be very strict with the enquiries they receive about them.

“If they do not feel your home would be suitable for these two particular moggies, please do not be offended, but appreciate their honesty, and perhaps let them pair you with another of the well deserving cats they have in who are also looking for a loving forever home.”
