Post office returns to village

Post Office services have been restored to Up Holland at Church of St Thomas the Martyr, Church Street, in Up Holland.

The previous Up Holland Post Office closed in July 2015 and there was an opportunity to provide a Post Office within the Church.

A café and community space will also open at the Church as soon as Covid-19 restrictions allow.

The opening hours for Up Holland Post Office are Monday to Friday: 9am – 5.30pm; Saturday: 9am – 5pm.

This is more than 50 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers.

David Hunt, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said: “We are delighted to have restored Post Office service to Up Holland as we know how important a Post Office is to a community. We thank the Church of St Thomas the Martyr for providing this branch as part of an exciting community initiative of a café and community space.”

The new branch offers customers a wide range of Post Office services, from posting letters and parcels to collecting and returning online shopping items. Customers can also take advantage of a wide range of banking services including cash withdrawals and balance enquiries for customers of all the main UK banks.
