IT’S now more than twelve months since Maghull Wind Orchestra started producing virtual performances to share with audiences far and wide. Although restrictions continue to prevent face to face rehearsals and concerts, there’s no stopping them from sharing their music!
They have released a real favourite for Maghull Wind Orchestra, “Moment for Morricone” which was composed by the late Ennio Morricone. The timeless film music brings a real feeling of the Wild West and is a medley of music from “Once Upon a Time in the Wild West” and “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”
35 musicians have recorded their individual parts of this fun piece before band trombonist and committee member Chris Horswood edited all of the music and video together to produce this wonderful performance.
Chris said: “This is the 12th Virtual Performance that I have edited over the past year, and it has been a great learning experience for me on mixing audio and editing these types of videos. When editing Moment for Morricone, I wanted to make the video a bit more distinct from our previous virtual performances, so I decided to add an aged film effect to make the video reminiscent of old western movies.”
