The Champion is back on the street today (Wednesday, April 14)
The third national lockdown forced us to pause our publication, as it did in previous lockdowns, but we are thrilled to return once more and resume the delivery of our printed titles to households across Sefton and West Lancashire.
Our brilliant sales team are back at their desks in our offices in Lord Street, Southport and once again ready to reacquaint themselves with valued advertisers and welcome new businesses who can benefit from the Champion’s unrivalled service. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Our editorial team are back in action with award-winning news and coverage of events across our two boroughs - and we’ll be restarting our ever-popular letters pages in the very near future.
It was a tough call to suspend publication of the Champion back in January, but we were left with simply no choice once lockdown measures were introduced across the country to help the nation deal with the immense coronovirus threat.
The Champion, however, did not disappear completely and we have been updating you with local news and information on our website at champnews.com and the Champion’s Facebook page and Twitter.
Now, with the easing of some of those lockdown restrictions, the Champion is able to return to what it does best and what our staff are truly passionate about - delivering award-winning newspapers straight to your door.
We can’t wait to reconnect with all our loyal readers and advertisers. We’ve missed you and we hope you’ve missed us!
It really is great to be back! So please do send us your news, your views, your pictures... and all the things that go to make the Champion your favourite weekly read.
