Still time to support Make a Will scheme

Still time to support Make a Will scheme

by Tom Martin (April 2021)

There is still time to support the Queenscourt Hospice and their Make a Will Month scheme.

The initiative, which has been running since 2014, expires at the end of April and those at the hospice are still encouraging anyone interested to come forward.

The initiative, which has the support of at least 12 leading solicitors’ firms across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire, encourages people to make a Will in exchange for a charitable donation to Queenscourt.

In exchange for a donation, you are offered the opportunity to book an appointment directly with a local solicitor, and they will help you to write a new Will.

The solicitor will not charge you for their time but instead will invite you to make a donation to Queenscourt.

For a Basic Will the suggested donation is £100 or £150 for a Mirror Will.

Kate Tipton-Thomas, Queenscourt’s Head of Income Generation and Communications, said: “We are grateful to the local solicitors who are able to give up their time again this year to support Queenscourt during Will Month 2021.

“The future of your local Hospice relies upon people like you remembering us in your Will. It’s a simple way of ensuring that we’ll be here to care for generations to come. Once you have provided for your loved ones, please consider leaving a donation to Queenscourt.”
