Cast your vote in the Local Elections - Thursday, May 6

WEST Lancashire voters will go to the polls next week when the Local Elections take place on Thursday, May 6,

All 84 seats at County Hall in Preston are up for grabs while for West Lancashire Borough Council voting will take place in 18 wards.

Voting will take place in the wares of:??

For Lancashire County Council there is one vacancy in each of the 8 divisions that make up West Lancashire. They include: Burscough & Rufford; Ormskirk; Skelmersdale Central; Skelmersdale East; Skelmersdale West; West Lancashire East; West Lancashire North; West Lancashire West.

Voting on May 6 will also take place for Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, which should have been held in May 2020. The candidates are: Mark James Barker - Reform UK; Neil Darby - Liberal Democrats; Clive Grunshaw - Labour and Co-operative Party; Andrew James Snowden - Conservative Party.

Voting will also take place in the Parish Elections.

Polling stations, which have been made as Covid safe as possible, will be open from 7am to 10pm on voting day (Thursday, May 6).
