AN inspirational three-year-old from Formby has raised £180 for charity after taking on a roll-over challenge!
Oscar Darwin, who attends conductive education at Rainbow Hub, wanted to do ten roll-overs unaided to raise funds for the Mawdesley-based charity.
Not only did he do ten roll-overs, but he doubled this number!
The challenge was part of Rainbow Hub’s 20th Birthday Celebration Virtual Ramble, which took place on Saturday, April 24.
The Lancashire charity, which has been supporting children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities for 20 years, wanted to celebrate with a big party, but couldn’t due to Covid restrictions.
As well as Oscar’s challenge, other events and donations from locals have helped raise nearly £10,000.
Lyndsay Fahey, CEO, Rainbow Hub, said: “We are amazed and delighted with the support we have received. It is a fantastic result and it was brilliant to see the community coming together to support a local charity.”
