TWO best doggy pals are in need of a new forever home where they can carry on living together.
Alice and Daisy, have been a pair for the last eight years, but were recently handed in to the team at Freshfields Animal Rescue after their owner suffered a stroke and can no longer care for them.
Freshfields hope they can be kept together once a new home is found for them.
Vikki Ferguson, kennels worker at the sanctuary in Ince Blundell said: “Daisy is a German Pointer Cross, and although she is almost 10 years old, she still is as playful and affectionate as a puppy! She is still an active girl and can be very strong on her walks. She loves to play ball almost as much as she loves her best friend Alice.
“Alice is a Labrador Cross and she’s eight years old. She loves children and doesn’t like loud noises out on her walks. She’s a very friendly and affectionate girl, enjoys life and loves a big fuss and attention, and is never happier than when she’s playing with her partner-in-crime Daisy.
“Everyone here at Freshfields has fallen in love with these two adorable dogs. We can see how much they love each other, and we desperately want to find them a home where they can snuggle up together, just like they did in their previous home.
“Alice and Daisy are not adjusting to life in Kennels, as you might expect, after spending many years as beloved family pets in a loving home.
“Although we know it might be devastating for them, we are having to consider taking the heart-breaking step of having to split them up in order to find them a home.
“We so want to keep this inseparable pair together, and that’s why we need YOU! Your readers can transform their future and write a happy ending for Alice and Daisy.
“This is their last chance to find a home together, as cherished family pets living their best lives. Please help us to make their dream come true.
“If you can find room in your heart and your home, consider giving Alice and Daisy the chance of joy and love. You will get so much back from these happy, beautiful dogs and they may just change your life!”
