A WATERLOO choir who were forced to hold rehearsals in a local park are now able to return indoors!
Singers from Major Tonic were left speechless in the summer after lockdown restrictions were eased, but choirs were told by the government that they must still rehearse outside.
It meant that the group regularly met in Victoria Park, which gave some entertainment to park-goers!
They are now pleased to be returning indoors and on September 7 they will meet as a full choir from 4-6pm at Waterloo Methodist Church, on Birchdale Road. They also hope to announce an autumn concert at New Christ Church in October.
Meanwhile, Major Tonic are currently looking for new members. Barry Gerald Webb, musical director said: “Come and join us. There are no auditions and plenty of friendship.”
