A SOUTHPORT runner will take on a unique challenge in Spain in the hope of raising money for Queenscourt Hospice.
Kyle Rimmer-Greaves will enter a ‘Backyard Ultra’, which involves running 6.7km every hour on the hour until he can’t run any more!
He told the Champion his “dream” is to complete 24 hours of running, but admits this would be difficult. However, he is experienced in long distance running, having previously completed 60k and 85k challenges.
He wants to support Queenscourt Hospice after his uncle and grandad were supported by staff.
Kyle said: “In 2017 and 2020 both my uncle and grandad were supported by Queenscourt Hospice, a cancer nursing home, before they passed away and I saw first hand how much staff do and how caring they are.
“Today I am asking for your help to give something back to them. If you want to collaborate with this cause, you can make a little donation and sponsor each of my laps, hence the bigger the effort the bigger the donation! Thanks in advance, I will really appreciate any support.”
The race takes this place this Saturday (September 25).
