Volunteers clear up litter ‘grot spot’

Volunteers clear up litter ‘grot spot’

by Henry James (October 2021)

BILL Esterson MP and Councillor James Hansen led a group of volunteers in a clear-up near to Deyes End housing estate in Maghull.

The area within the Parkhaven grounds on Deyes Lane had become an eyesore due to dropped litter.

They filled several bags of rubbish including drinks cans, plant pots and metal containers.

Sefton Central MP Bill Esterson said: “It was good to get out and help clear up a known area that has been an eyesore for a while.

“Residents should not have to look out of their windows to that view.

“Having met with representatives from Parkhaven recently the issue was raised with me and I was pleased with the response from volunteers.”
