Masked men smashed restaurant window as customers ate

DINERS were left shocked after masked men smashed the front window of a restaurant in Maghull as customers ate their meals.

Police were called to the Furusato Bar & Grill on Westway at around 8.20pm on Saturday, October 30 after reports that an act of vandalism had been caused at the busy restaurant.

Two men with their faces covered were seen leaving the scene in an unknown vehicle.

No one was injured in the incident.

The restaurant was open the following day and the owners stated on social media that they would “come back stronger” after the incident.

They posted the following statement on social media on Sunday: “Good morning everyone, as you can see we had some vandals visit us last night.

“We will be open today, although the shutter will be down the front door will be open, just at a later time, from 3pm, for food and drink.

“Massive apologies to all our customers. We will come back stronger.”
