Pupils lead the way in dementia charity raising

PUPILS in Crosby are leading the way in raising money for a dementia charity after taking charge of organising their own fundraising.

Sacred Heart Catholic College has a group of children called ‘The Value Ambassadors’, and they have helped raise more than £6,000 for Dementia UK.

They have a target of £10,000 and an upcoming Christmas Fayre on December 9 is the latest event to help towards the cause.

The pupils are currently asking local businesses if they would be willing to donate items to sell at stalls or use as prizes.

A spokesperson for the Value Ambassadors said: “Our Value Ambassadors  have been selected for displaying acts of integrity, respect, attainment, self-improvement, resilience, effort, kindness and community spirit.

“We have worked over the last two weeks to raise funds to help run the event and we are now approaching businesses to ask for support in donating items we can sell at the stalls or items that could be used as prizes for the pupils and parents.

“We would be so grateful and appreciate any help your business can do to help support this amazing cause.”

If any businesses would like to help, contact the school directly.
