CHILDREN from Brookfield Park Primary School in Skelmersdale have earned a medal haul at a sports event in Wigan.
A team of youngsters competed at the SHARES School’s Athletics tournament at Robin Park in Wigan, with many of them winning medals across all categories of events.
SHARES Lancashire is a ‘not for profit’ company set up to provide a range of support services to primary schools in Skelmersdale and Up Holland.
It’s not the only sporting success for the school, as Year 5/6 teams earned a place in the Champions League football, dodgeball and basketball competitions.
The Year 3/4 girls’ team put on a great display of football to win their tournament.
A spokesperson for the school said: “I'm incredibly proud of what the children have achieved this year. We have lots of exciting plans for the future of sport at Brookfield Park.
“From a fresh new team kit, awash with our updated school colours, to thrilling new playground developments to help facilitate a wider range of sports.”
