A SCOUT group based in Crosby has replaced its age-old minibus with a much-needed new vehicle!
The 12th Crosby (St Luke’s) Scout Group, on Endbutt Lane, was successful in getting a donation from West Lancashire Freemasons Charity.
The new minibus replaces its previous one, which was 23 years old and according to members was “becoming a bigger challenge each year” to keep on the road.
A spokesperson said: “Crosby has benefited from having a minibus for the past 15 years, making it available to a variety of other scout and youth groups, charities, and schools in the area.
“The last minibus was over 23 years old and keeping it on the road was becoming a bigger challenge each year.
“The recently purchased new minibus with its many modern refinements and seating 16 passengers has been well received by those in need of bulk transport.”
A presentation was held when the minibus was handed over to the scout group by members of West Lancashire Freemasons.
