A DEFIBRILLATOR has recently been installed at Hope Community Church in Aintree Village.
The Rev Lee Jennings of Hope Community Church has expressed his gratitude for the defibrillator.
Tom Jennings from the Aintree Primary Care Network said: “I would like to thank all of the local residents, the hard working and dedicated team of volunteers and all staff who made delivering the Covid vaccinations an absolute pleasure during the pandemic.
“Rarely, in this day and age, do you come across an area whose community spirit and willingness to help each other is so apparent.
“As an offer of thanks we are delighted to provide the defibrillator cabinet located on the exterior of Hope Community Church.
“Reverend Lee Jennings works tirelessly in the community and gave up a considerable amount of his own time along with the other volunteers during the programme, so the Hope Community Church Aintree was the perfect location for the equipment. Having access to a defibrillator can dramatically improve the chances of survival for a patient in cardiac distress so we believe this was the most appropriate gift to the community.
“Once again we would like to thank each and every one of you and look forward to continuing to work together in the future.”
Rev Lee Jennings added: “The thing which makes Aintree Village a special place is how people come together.
“We are so grateful for the Aintree PCN staff, and local volunteers who ran the Covid vaccine clinics for the generous gift of an external defibrillator case, ensuring that those who may need it, have access to a defibrillator as soon as possible.”
