THE BIG Model and Hobby Show was held at Aintree Racecourse on Saturday, August 6.
The event was organised by Peter Wood, from The Gauge 1 Model Railway Association, with the help of Tony Kuivala and Austin Moss.
The ground floor was reserved for the larger displays and associated trade stands and the second floor had Slideways Drift radio control cars and Hoylake Models with their radio control large trucks and buses, along with stands, Meccano display and model railway exhibits.
The women from the West Lancashire Lace Makers showed off their skills along with the Southport Wood Carvers Group giving displays of how to carve wood.
Keith Hick could be found on the fourth floor giving illustrated talks on railways around Liverpool and the early days of American railways.
